John Pangilinan is a connector and influencer operating across a varied landscape of industries, scenes and cultures. Specializing in photography, brand development, public relations and consultancy, John has established himself as a brand that brands rely on. For over 12 years, he has been deeply embedded in the automotive industry in a variety of capacities. Whether running public relations for the Formula DRIFT motorsports series, building acclaimed project cars or creating national ad campaigns, John acts as an ambassador and communicator of automotive lifestyle.

While John consistently works within the parameters of car culture, he seamlessly navigates in and around other influential industries as well. Regularly working with fashion brands, sportswear giants, influential media and other creative clients, the native Southern Californian is able to operate ahead of trends and generate positive exposure. Often fusing his experience and resources, John has developed or managed unique projects that blur the lines between automotive and lifestyle.

To date, John has worked with clients including Toyo Tires, Flexfit, Scion, Hyundai, Stance Socks, the Pow!Wow! Hawaii / Long Beach art festival, Microsoft and Nike. His project cars have been featured in Motor Trend, DUB, and Super Street magazines among others and his 2013 Hyundai Veloster was awarded the President’s Choice Award by Hyundai Motor America. In addition to the decorated Veloster, he’s also built multiple vehicles for Hyundai including a Genesis Coupe R-SPEC, Santa Fe Sport, 2015 Sonata 2.0T, and a 2016 Tucson.  He won the Scion Tuner Challenge in 2008 and was runner-up in 2010.  John received a Ford design achievement award for his Ford Focus concept in 2011. In 2013, John also made SEMA News’ “35 Under 35” list.

When not chasing the Formula D series or tethered to an elaborate project car build, John tries to nurture his lifelong passions for surfing and photography. He’s always on the hunt for fine examples of vintage mid century modern furniture and though he despises the term… he’s a bona fide foodie.
