A close friend of mine asked me to take a few photos from his girlfriend’s dessert company, Decadence, and their display at the Long Beach Sea Fare. Not knowing what to expect or ever have taken real photos of food before I was up for the challenge. The LB Sea Fare was held at the Aquarium of the Pacific placing the event in a very unique setting. Imagine food displays in front of large glass filled with exotic fish swimming behind the food and guests enjoying the various food stations and open bars. Next year I’ll have to attend just to try out all of the cuisine.

Only armed with my 7D and 580 EXII flash I wish I showed up a little earlier and more lighting gear and lenses, but it was a great experience and the desserts I was sent home with was amazing.
